Why travel to Vietnam

Most people still think of Vietnam as a battle field, in fact, HOWEVER, that old history has all gone for long, giving place to a brand new era when peace and safety reside! These days, instead, you may often hear CNN, BBC, or many other prestigious channels talking about something like “Vietnam – a safe destination of the new millennium”, or “Vietnam – the Hidden Charm” , etc. Yes, it’s now opening to the world as a friendly and exotic place on earth!

You’re curious? Oh, so why don’t you think of coming? Here are some of the reasons why you should visit “her” – the charming-like-a-girl Vietnam:

1. “She” is a new place. It’s not touristy like in Thailand and many places you go, people got stunned by your appearance.

2. “She” is safe and friendly. The majority of people in Vietnam are farmers, pure farmers. Many of them have never learnt of much apart from the village they were born in. Naturally, they’re almost all friendly and safe to be around. Moreover, the communist government does a good job in ensuring securities all over the country. Nothing of a crime has happened to tourists for the last decades.

3. “She” has lots to see: A thin country stretching for thousands of Km from North to South. It has beautiful mountains with colorful and rich culture hill tribes. It has beaches and many of those are considered best in the world but still, they’re not touristy. Sound cool enough? Not end yet, she’s home to 7 UNESCO World Heritages. Almost anywhere you go, you’re stumble on a World Heritage.

4. “She” is marvelous, but money-saving. If you want to, then 1 US dollar could buy you a basic lunch or dinner. Wandering around and you want to find somewhere to sit and drink? Normally, you don’t have to pay more than one dollar for it. Cheap accommodations and services are everywhere around the Old Quarter in Hanoi and Pham Ngu Lao street or Bui Vien street – Sai Gon (if you’re traveling on a tight budget). If yours is not a tight budget? Never mind! You can also find the world top hotels and resorts in here.

5. Is travel here convenient? Sure, many companies operate the open bus (good quality in general) and they run almost to every capital cities in the country. Moving around is very easy. If ya want to take it easier? Well, lots of tour companies everywhere you go. You don’t have to work on where to go when you wake up 2morrow.

6. After all, traveling is to experience the difference. And Vietnam is different from any place that you have been!

So, Vietnam? Why not!

“Variety is the Spice of Life”, and Vietnam, an elongated stretch of land along the East coast of Indochinese Peninsula is a land that satisfies the travelling instinct of man. With Japanese and Chinese trade and French and American intervention, Vietnam stands out as a country with diverse architectures and perfectly blended cultural influence of the Asian merchants from the North. Vietnam tours are one of the most enjoyed vacations where tourists can explore the traditional villages, ancient temples and pagodas and the serenity of the beaches. The vibrant legacy from different cultures is still evident and Vietnam travel enables the visitors to enjoy the ethnic culture and the imperial history of the land. Vietnam travel is just the ideal balance between prehistoric times and now. Leaving behind the woes of war, the people of Vietnam stretch their open arms with a warm smile to welcome their visitors. With long and short Vietnam tours for their choice, tourists can enjoy the beautiful city of Hanoi that sprawls along the banks of Red River. Also known as the city of lakes, Hanoi holds back the sleepy grace of the French colonial elegance. Ancient temples and attractive pagodas scattered all over the urban centers are the most popular sources of attraction. Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and museum deserves to be mentioned. The Ha Long Bay rising out of the South China Sea is a marvelous complex of 3000 chalk islands. The region is weird and mysterious yet with a touch of beauty. The city of Hue is famous for its imperial architecture. In spite of the effects of the Vietnam War the tombs, pagodas and lakes covered with lotus represent its former magnificence. Leaving behind the daily hustle and bustle of life, Vietnam travel will help you to feel the soft gentle breeze over your face and enjoy the peace and tranquility of the beautiful country. Vietnam is a rapidly developing country, yet it charms the people with its varied cultures and assorted food habits. With pleasant resorts all over the beaches that provides you with all sorts of comforts Vietnam tours are the most favorable domestic tours. Vietnam travel can easily be arranged by tour groups for those who are interested to explore the country. The diverse culture, awesome beaches and misty hills seduce your heart to come back and unravel the mysteries of the land again and again.

Vietnam is a paradise for both the outdoor adventurer and city explorer alike. Winding down 3,444 kilometers of coastline from the northern Red River Delta near the Chinese border to the Mekong Delta at the southernmost tip of the Southeast Asian peninsula, Vietnam is a splendid blend of picturesque coastline and lush inland terrain. The region’s history of conquests and wars makes travel to Vietnam today a rich and rewarding experience during this time of precious peace.
During the 20th century, Vietnam was at war for nearly 45 consecutive years with different countries. After French and Spanish forces ravaged the area, most of the south became a French colony by 1867. Finally in 1945, Ho Chi Minh declared Vietnam’s independence, sparking a French rebuttal and attracting international interest of U. S. , Russian and Cambodian forces. Minh’s dream of an independent (communist) nation was not realized until 1989 when the U. N. subdued the conflict with Khmer Rouge and pulled Vietnamese troops out of Cambodia.
Urban and Pristine Wonders of Vietnamese Travel
National identity has become an integral part of life for this war trodden state and today the proud Vietnamese are more willing to embrace foreign travelers and share their magnificent cultural history as their economy begins to mature. Visit the economic capital of Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) in the south to witness the vibrant and progressive culture that has taken root in Vietnam. While there, explore the extensive botanical gardens, Buddhist monasteries, and stop by the Binh Soup Shop, which was the secret Viet Cong headquarters in Saigon during the Vietnam War. In the far north, the capital city of Hanoi is a bit more relaxed, speaking to ancient Vietnamese culture and 1000 years of history along the streets of the Old Quarter. Visit the intriguing One Pillar Pagoda build by Emperor Tong in the 11th century and replenish your spirits in the Bach Ma Temple, the city’s oldest and most revered.
Retreat to the captivating beauty of Vietnam’s wilderness for a more tranquil portion of your journey. Tropical rainforests abound in the protected area of Ba Be National Park, located close to the Chinese border in the north. The local Tay people live in stilt houses and contribute cultural significance to the area. Take an elephant ride through the expansive Yok Don National Park for a chance to see monkeys, birds and even leopards. If confined spaces don’t trigger nightmares, the Phong Nha Cave is a must see. This UNESCO World Heritage Site was created 250 million years ago and boasts a cavernous entanglement stretching thousands of meters below ground. Portions of this natural wonder are open to the public daily. For the claustrophobic, travel to Halong Bay in the Gulf of Tonkin, another World Heritage Site, which is dotted with more than 3,000 tiny islands with cliffs and white sand beaches that cascade into the surrounding sparkling waters.
Due to the country’s broad north-south range, Vietnam is a wonderful country to explore any time of year. The sheltered forests and increased speed of the coastal cities offer an invaluable variety for a perfectly balanced journey. Travel to Vietnam to discover this underestimated Southeast Asian gem.
