Article by Owner Vacation Rentals

Vacation home rentals are one of the most perfect locations for just about anyone to stay at. There is no reason for you not to select these hotels as they often allow for some of the best accommodations in many areas. Just imagine waking up in a home without tons of people in the room next to you and being able to relax in the sun pouring in off the ocean view. This is just one example that you may be able to take into consideration too. There is no doubt that a vacation home rental is the right choice, but what should you do to make sure it is the right choice for you?

Here are 5 tips to help you to make that decision.

1. Take the time to browse yours selections. When you shop for your vacation home rental on the web, you are able to see what it looks like right from the beginning. This allows you to compare all types of homes within just a matter of seconds. You can see so many details this way too.

2. Price shop too. There is no reason to compare prices of one vacation rental to the next. If you would do this to find the best hotel in the area, then do the same thing for the vacation home you are considering. With so many options available, there is bound to be competition to drive the rates down.

3. Talk to the owner. One of the largest problems facing those that book vacation rental homes online is that they can not talk to the owner to get the answers to their questions. Find a website that allows the owner to tell you about the home and answer any questions you have.

4. For a cost savings option, consider moving your choices in vacation home rentals back just a bit. By allowing a bit of distance between you and the main attractions, you can often save quite a bit of money. This can allow you to save a good deal in the long run.

5. Get what you want. If there are special amenities and necessities that you need and want, then look for it. Many of the condos and homes that are vacation home rentals allow you to have most of what hotels offer if not more so.

Taking advantage of these things in vacation home rentals allows you to win when you are on vacation. Your own home to go back to after a night of toss in the sand or enjoying the local cluster is just the way to go. Use these tips to help you to get the most out of you vacation home rental. There is no reason for you not to benefit.

Travel Tips

Golden rule

The first thing that you Must ALWAYS REMEMBER.

You must always pack your own bags and not put Anything inside that will get you in trouble, this includes Flammable Liquids, Sharp Objects and banned substances of any kind. Under No Circumstances should you ever allow anyone, not even your best friend to pack your bag. When checking Inn, nowadays in any airport you are always asked. Did you pack your own bag? A This question may sound routine to you but it is the most important question with regards to your travel.

The Second thing you must ALWAYS REMEMBER.

Never carry anything for anyone no matter how small the package or what the excuse is, your life and your freedom may depend on this. In most countries around the world trafficking Banned substances will extend your Holiday a lot longer than you want it to, maybe for the rest of your life it’s No JOKE!

Passports and visas

Every Country has a different policy on Visa’s and entry permits. It is inportant that you check with the Embassy of the Country or Countries you are going to visit,to see what their Visa or entry requirement are. If you need to get a visa it can take a couple of days so you need to plan ahead, and you would also need a passport that has at least 6 months left before it expires. This may increase if you are going to be travelling for a longer period.

Keep your passport in a safe place, since you will need it whenever you board an international flight. In some countries you will be required to leave your passport with the hotel or hostel when you check in this is to satisfy regulations requiring the hostel/hotel to register all foreign visitors. You will need to show your passport when cashing a traveller’s cheque.

Photocopy the identification page of your passport to carry with you in case your passport is lost or stolen while travelling.

Before departing make sure you are covered by insurance that will reimburse travel expenses.

What to pack

Your main objective should be to travel as lightly as possible, casual dress is acceptable in most countries around the world except for Muslim countries, where visitors can not wear short or scanty tops. In some Asian countries spiting or dropping chewing gum on the street can get you in trouble with the law which might result in a fine, always make sure to read the do’s and don’ts of the country you are visiting this will make your life much easier.

Break in your shoes before you leave home, shoes with soft substantial soles are not only deal for walking but can ease the difficulty of manoeuvring the cobbled streets that characterize many old city centres especially in European countries.

Health

Make sure you get all your vecinations from you doctor before you travel this will ensure that you stay healthy while you are travelling.

Always take sensible precautions during hot weather, wear a Hat/sunglasses and sun block, drink plenty of fluids. Tap water in Europe, America and Canada in general is safe to drink, although its high mineral content can cause Minor stomach up sets if you are not used to it. If travelling further a-field you should stick to Bottled water which is an inexpensive and widely available alternative.

A general rule to stop any stomach up sets is to stay away from salads, uncooked foods and fruits, no matter how good they look.

Language

Travelling is always exciting and enjoyable if you can converse a bit with the locals. Only the basics are needed like yes, please, no and thanks you accompanied by a pleasant smile, polite manner and using your common sense will get you very far.

If you are really stuck with Communication remember that hostel /hotel receptionists usually speak English and in most cases are helpful and friendly. So you should make use of their help and they could even teach you a couple of words. Be nice to them!

Money and valuables

Having some funds in local currency is a necessity, but only carry what you will need for a day or two if its lost or stolen your chances of getting it back are next to nothing. Travellers Cheque are reliable and safe, always keep a record of the Cheque numbers you redeem and receipts in a separate place in case you need to produce them in the event of loss. Be prepared to show your passport each time you cash a cheque or offer one in Payment

Personal safety

Common sense keep valuables passports, money, credit cards etc hidden when you are on the move a money belt or neck belt or neck purse worn inside clothing is the safest option, also put money in different places so that if one bag is lost you have another source of funds. Any bag you carry with you should have a secure fastener with strap that goes over your neck and crosses your body this ensures that bulkier items like cameras etc are safe from pick pockets.

Getting around

Find a central public transportation information centre spend some time there and obtain information on how to get around the city, including transportation maps and detailed maps. Buy valid transport tickets for multiple rides or for more than one day, they will save you money and the inconvenience of having to buy a new ticket for every journey. There are a variety of public transportation in Europe and America these include subways, trams buses etc

Each country has its own customs and regulations it is very essential to take note of these, the European Union countries are considered as one and there are no limits on goods for personal use when travelling between member countries, however restrictions do apply when travelling between EU and non EU countries.

“All-Inclusive Vacations” is also known as packaged vacations. It offers the best choice for people and families who are on budget. For a fixed amount of money, the package shall include a preset services and products. It ranges from dirt-cheap all-inclusive vacations packages to the more luxurious ones depending on budget and agents offering the service. Do not assume any thing, check to make sure you get the best value for your money by doing some homework.

Here are some tips. First, decide on the type of vacation, for example, relaxed, all-out-fun or family-bonding. Second, decide on the holiday destination. Third, plan in advance and research for the value-for-money all-inclusive vacations packages both online and offline. Manage the cost and balance on the goals. Last, focus on the objectives and forgo the frills to cut down on unnecessary spending and maximize the time spent on the key activities.

In addition, you may take note of these huge saver tips while planning for your cheap all inclusive vacations trip. Plan for air travel during the mid-week. Ask for more discount for a large group of travelers. Some agents may offer great deal on packaged accommodations, meals and transportation based on group size. Just be mindful of the expectations and careful on the quality. It does not pay to substitute value with downright inexpensive all-inclusive vacations. Plan the holiday during the off-peak season. Hotels and airlines often organize special discounts to bring in the crowd.

All-inclusive vacations save you the hassle of making travel arrangements, especially if you are planning to go to another country, a lesser-known place, an exotic location or more than one destination. However, make the bookings and reservations early to avoid disappointment.

For the modern traveller, the world is your oyster. Okay, maybe you’re not prioritising a summer visit to currently war-torn countries such as Afghanistan, Lebanon, Iraq or Sudan. Likewise, tales of drug-trafficking, kidnapping and armed muggings might put you off a two-week sojourn in Venezuela or Colombia. But perhaps you are considering something a little more off the beaten track – a holiday that will test your nerves a little, or that will embed you in a completely different culture or environment?

Many a modern traveller now explores further afield, with Australasia, South America, Asia and Africa proving very popular for those with an adventurous spirit (who don’t mind long plane journeys). But for any such trips, there are known – and unknown – dangers that you may want to research before you leave. Visit Australia and you’ll probably be bombarded by people listing its dangerous creatures – box jellyfish, crocodiles, redback spiders, taipan snakes, sharks, and so on – together with a litany of tales surrounding those backpackers who never came back… But go to ‘safe as houses, no dangerous animals/plants here’ New Zealand and you may not realise that its capital city, Wellington, sits on a major earthquake fault line that is well overdue a ‘big one’!

Indeed, in a Norwich Union survey of last year, several places were highlighted as potential danger areas, including Thailand, Mexico and South Africa, where illness, accidents and crime are common. Again, not terribly surprising, perhaps, but did you know that travellers to Mexico made the most number of claims to the insurance company for overexposure to the sun? Probably not.

The findings also mentioned the Caribbean as the worst area for travellers to suffer insect bites and stings, and even Spain and the Canaries hit the list, for possible robberies and pick pocketing.

Even if you deal with all the insects, robbers, earthquakes, illnesses, hungry sharks and venomous snakes, you may still get in your car and crash. In fact, the most likely way for holidaymakers to meet misfortune is on the road, with 15 million people a year injured worldwide in traffic-related accidents. Remember that terrifying taxi journey on the way to your hotel last year? Yes, most of us can recall at least one terrifying car journey in our search for that holiday magic.

But don’t worry, BeatThatQuote.com is here to help address all your holiday concerns (both those that you knew about as well as the ones we’ve just got you worried about). With these travel tips, you can be sure you’re making the right preparations for a safe and happy trip, no matter how adventurous you are feeling:

 1. The Foreign & Commonwealth Office website is a great source of information on safe/dangerous destinations, as well as general travel advice. Well worth a look if you’re planning to backpack round the world.

 2. Do not forget or skimp on your travel insurance. Get travel insurance and check that the cover is appropriate for your destination and planned activities abroad. Also ensure it covers any health issues you might have. According to recent research, 15% of British people risk going abroad without any kind of travel insurance – considering an air ambulance from the east coast of the US might set you back £30,000, it is really a risk you don’t want to take.

 3. If you are planning to hire a car or you are taking your car with you, check you are covered for accidents and/or breakdowns. Don’t assume your UK car insurance will cover you for driving overseas – it might not protect you for anything more than road traffic accidents.

 4. Check what vaccinations you need at least six weeks before you go and consider whether you need to take extra health precautions. Ensure you have sufficient medical insurance cover for your chosen destination, especially if you have any pre-existing health conditions.

 5. You will probably be leaving your home empty while you are away – ensure you have got/renewed your home insurance in the event of anything happening while you holiday. Also consider asking a neighbour to pop in/water the plants every now and again to ensure your house looks occupied.

 6. Get a good guidebook and get to know your destination. Find out about local laws and customs.

 7. Make sure you take all documentation with you, including your passport, necessary visas, and insurance documents. Make copies and store separately just in case you lose anything.

 8. Check your bank cards. Do you know how much you will be charged for using your cards abroad? It might also be worth telling your bank or credit card provider about your trip. With fraud on the rise, some card providers/banks will stop your card if they see unusual/unexpected spending. A phonecall will remedy this situation but it’s just another holiday ‘downer’ you can avoid.

 9. Take enough money for your trip and some back-up funds, for example, travellers cheques, sterling or US dollars.

 10. And if you’re going for a long trip of several months or more, just don’t forget your responsibilities at home, including your mortgage. Budget carefully and ensure you can cover all your payments both at home and abroad.

Once you have done all of this, all you need do is pack your bags and go. It might be a scary world out there, but with a bit of forethought, there’s a whole lot of opportunity for adventure too. Have fun!

Save time and money this holiday! What could be more practical way to shop and save time and money other than buying gifts online. There are beautiful and affordable gift baskets that will satisfy all of your “Wish List” needs and you won’t even have to leave the comfort of your home. Gift baskets come in a variety of high quality merchandise that will satisfy the taste buds and not empty your bank account.

Christmas is just around the corner folks and since most of us wait until the last minute to buy, usually everything our friends and family want are nowhere to be found. Buying gifts could be a chore sometimes, specially if the people you would buy gifts for are either hard to please or they seem to already have everything they want. Shopping gifts can be very tiring specially on holiday season when stores are very crowded and you have to fall in line when paying them.

Good thing we can now shop online and do not need to leave the comfort of our home giving us options to choose a wide selection of gifts and gift ideas without having to walk, and squeeze through crowded isles in the stores. Another advantage is that you do not need to have to gift wrap them and ship them yourselves. There are websites that offers this service for free and even giving you an option to have custom message sent together with the gifts you chose to make it more personalized.

I highly recommend LuckyGiftBaskets.com, they have affordable and beautiful gift baskets that come in a variety of high quality and fun assortments, they have a very wide online catalog, each product is categorized so you can easily choose. For instance, my favorite is the Tis’ The Season Holiday Gift Basket, which includes Charlie Brown’s Christmas “Snoopy’s Sweet Smores” Cocoa and Holiday Caramel Fruit Dip. They are unique and delicious, beautifully designed and wrapped.

If you think that you can no longer get a cheap vacation package for new year or that you’re already late in planning your holiday for January, then think again. Here’s your ultimate guide to help you ensure that you’ll get the excitement and fun that you deserve with the money that you will pay for a holiday offer.

This is not to discourage or disappoint you but if you’re planning about booking a New Year holiday, its already late – even for a January holiday. It is for the reason that most of the good places has limited space during this time. Since the New Year’s holiday week is a high peak season, most people book for their holiday earlier. You should have planned your New Year’s holiday vacation as early as September because its the best time to look for cheap New Year’s packages. The cheapest tickets and packages are already available during this month for the New Year’s holiday. Though it is a bit late already to look for cheap New Year’s packages, there are still some tropical paradise that you can choose to spend the rest of January.

To start your plan, you should decide on your budget. It will be easier for you to look for the kind of holiday you want for you or your family. If you want to go out in the sun, best choices can be Spain, Canary Islands, Tenerife, or Maldives. But if you would like to enjoy the winter, you can go skiing and some of your best destinations could be Italy, Switzerland, or some countries where you can find ski resorts.

Next thing to do after you have decided on your budget and destination is to research. There are travel operators that offer special travel packages that you can look online. You can choose from their different holiday packages and select the one that you think is interesting to you and fits your budget. After which, find out the packages that they offer for the season by talking to a travel agent.

Booking for long holidays will also cost you cheaper since most travel operators offer better rates for long holidays like two weeks or so. They design their packages to be on a longer duration and if you go for a shorter period of time, they may charge you more than your holiday’s worth.

Aside from longer holiday duration, another factor to consider is the number of people. Some travel operators give discounts for those who book as a group or a whole family. Same goes also to air travel operators.

So if you are still on the go for a holiday vacation, what are you waiting for? Decide on your budget and destination now and start researching. Follow this guide and let yourself and your family have a great vacation.

When you plan your holiday you should spend at least 2 weeks to your retreat. This is the best way to find a good on your cheap package holiday. You can expect to have a great time and you will definitely get the most for your money if you offer a lot of time for you vacation.

Some of us who’ve had the luxury to travel know that it can be costly. The cost for anyone who has done so with the whole family can often cost many thousands of dollars. When I would go on vacation, thinking about ways to manage my money seldom crossed my mind. After all, I’m on vacation and I want to do anything and everything. I’ve learned that coming home to an empty bank account takes away from the memories and I now know that budgeting is important if you travel. Do you want to travel on a budget and still make it the best vacation you have ever had? I’ve created a list of money saving vacation tips.

TRAVEL WITH FRIENDS:

Hotels are expensive. If you want to stay at place with an ocean view balcony expect to spend more than 0 a night. Bring along the kids and you’ve already spent 00 before you dipped your feet into the soft white sand. An option you might want to consider is to vacation with friends and rent an entire house. If you look online you can rent a 4 bedroom house in near Tampa Bay for 00 or less. Take advantage of the pull out couch for the children and you are suddenly on vacation for half the price.

BUDGET WITH FOOD:

If you eat out for meal, your vacation can be expensive. Try to save cash every way you can. One of the best ways I discovered how to manage my money was to bring a homemade lunch to the beach. You can feed the entire family for less than . Breakfast can some cereal and to make it fun for the kids by letting them pick something they would never be allowed to eat back home. Dinner can be at an all you can eat buffet or some simple restaurant.

BUDGET WITH SPENDING:

If you hope to visit every single attraction, make sure you plan everything out before you leave. Some places offer coupons online like buy 1 get 1 free or children under 12 play free. If you can avoid Disney Land or amusement parks. The kids might have more fun seeing a dolphin in the ocean instead of at Sea World.

Vacations can be expensive but they don’t need to be. If you create a budget, make a plan and save as much as you can on dining you can create a fantastic vacation at half the cost. I’ve listed just a few of the ways I’ve learned how to manage my money while on vacation. Check out more of my blog for more money saving tips. You can sign up for my free E-Book, free budget spreadsheet, free calculators and links to various other tools. We also have a few leaked videos to help with your finances.

The holidays can be both a joyful and stressful time for all families. This can especially be the case for families of individuals with autism or other neuro-developmental disabilities. If you’re racking your brain to come up with some excuses you can use to avoid a holiday event you dread, here are a few you can try out this year:

Top 10 Great Excuses to Use at the Holidays

There is a Sponge Bob marathon on TV, and we have to be home to tape it…all 24 hours of it.

The neighbors have had the flu, and I’m pretty sure we’re going to come down with it.

The kids hid the car keys—both sets.

Oh, was that today? I thought you said NEXT week!

The dog ate the green bean casserole we were supposed to bring, and we’d hate to show up empty handed.

I’ve gained a bunch of weight this year, and just won’t fit with 7 other people at a card table made for 4.

We’ve all developed a rare turkey allergy—can’t even be in the same room with it!

Sure, we’d be glad to come. Of course, we’ll have to bring our set of 3 new not-yet-house-trained puppies with us so they don’t get lonely.

We’ll be celebrating with the other side of the family this year.

We’re boycotting the holidays due to over-commercialization.

Don’t think any of those excuses will fly? Here are some real tips for reducing the hectic-ness and increasing the happiness in your holiday season:

It’s okay to say “No!”

Sometimes we feel compelled to say “yes” to every holiday invitation that comes our way. This can especially be the case with family events. You know your child’s limits and need to take those into consideration when setting up your holiday social calendar. You can say no while still being polite, and save yourself and your child a ton of grief in the process. Attend the events that are meaningful and important to you, and make other arrangements for your child if necessary. If you’re dreading it, then that’s a good sign you should gracefully opt out this year!

Arrange small quiet gatherings with family and friends.

One family I know celebrates the holidays with family extended family members in “shifts.” They invite a few over at a time in the weeks surrounding the holiday. This way they get to see everyone without overwhelming their children. They stay in their comfortable familiar environment, while family members take turns coming to visit them. No one is left out, and the experience is much more enjoyable for everyone involved.

Provide gift ideas.

If you’re worried about some of the gifts your child might receive this year, try to avoid the problem by providing family members with gift ideas. Don’t want a bunch of electronic games and toys? Make a list of games, craft supplies, books, and other things you would prefer for your kids. I also know some families who ask for gift cards that can be used toward things like therapy, therapeutic supplies, restaurants, or some of the favorite places their children like to visit.

Plan ahead.

When going to someone else’s home for the holidays, make sure you think about your children’s needs ahead of time. Bring plenty of activities, snacks, books, clothing, etc. that will help them feel comfortable and keep them occupied. It can also be helpful to find a quiet place at the location you will be visiting where you and your child can get away from the group. This way you have somewhere to go when you notice that your child is getting over-stimulated or just needs a break.

Don’t be afraid to communicate your needs.

While there will always be some people, family members included, who don’t understand the need for accommodations, most people want to be supportive. If there are things that will help make the experience more enjoyable and tolerable for your child then let others know that. This can include making requests that people not wear perfume, that others not give your child food you didn’t bring with you, or that they allow your child some time to “warm up” before trying to talk to him/her or give hugs. Think about the things you know cause your child to feel uncomfortable or react negatively, and communicate some simple things others can do to accommodate him/her.

The holidays are supposed to be a time of peace, joy, and happiness. Don’t sacrifice those things for yourself and your child by accommodating everyone else. Plan ahead, trust your instincts, and when all else fails—come up with a great excuse!

For every instance, there surely must be some guidelines to further enhance the excitement of the experience or simply to make the most out of any activity. In this article, we have prepared several African safari vacation tips that will let ensure a vacation like nothing else. Here they are:

The early bird, as the saying goes, catches the worms. This adage seem to apply even for African safari vacations. Even if it implies that you wake up earlier than the rising of the sun, you would be happy that you did since many activities occur during the morning than throughout the day. This is for the reason that most animals are active in the earlier parts of the day and spend the whole light hours sleeping or resting. Nocturnal animals, on the other hand, are only about to rest while the sun rises.

The safaris, though more famous for the games and wild animals, were not created solely to do just that. You might be busy collecting stones while discarding wonders such as sightings of intriguing insects, varieties of smaller animals and multitudes of panoramic sights.

One of the more indispensable equipments in any African safari vacation is the binoculars as they allow you to see visions even from afar. Though travel companies normally provide binoculars, you might as well bring your own sets as you may prove them more convenient than risking your chance of sharing the tool with another person.

Your exposure to mosquitoes in African safaris can cause you myriad of mosquito diseases which in most cases, deprive you from more enjoyable experiences. To ward off uninvited guests during the night, make it a point to apply mosquito repellants and expose parts of your body as little as possible.

Any self-respecting African safari vacation operators knows that guests are susceptible to certain ailments due the natural elements in wild Africa. Therefore, they are well-equipped with treatments, medications and procedures that will create lesser chances of being affected by one. However, you must still bring with you personal medications such as anti-diarrhea medicine and anti-malaria pills in case you might need them.

You surely would want to reserve memories of experiences that you have undergone during your African safari vacation. If you were to bring a camera, your best bet would be the digital ones. However, for types that make use of films, be careful that you have some good reserve of batteries and films.

If you want sights of the nocturnal animals, your obvious choice would be to travel at night. Be wary though that you don’t get to hold the lights primarily because they can attract many insects that becomes irritating overtime.
